When is the Lions tour of New Zealand, you ask? Well, Balls.ie has all the relevant information on where and when to watch each respective fixture.
The British and Irish lions will travel to the southern hemisphere for their most grueling test to date with over the ten fixtures in the space of five weeks. The first game of the tour will take place just four days after the Guinness Pro 12 and Aviva Premiership finals conclude - which adds another dimension to preparation.
The extra burden of games leaves coach Warren Gatland with a selection conundrum - whether or not to bring more than 35 players. Such a sheer volume of matches would suggest that he may be forced to.
Gatland will be wary of the unmitigated disaster which was the Lions tour of New Zealand in 2005. Twelve years ago, Clive Woodward brought 51 players and a large backroom which only proved detrimental to the teams test fixtures against the All Blacks.
The current Wales coach is expected to name his team after the RBS Six Nations concludes in March. Keep an eye out here and the Balls.ie rugby section for the latest Ireland and Lions news.
