With Tuesday and Wednesday gifting us with a stacked Premier League fixture list, many of us will be thinking the same thing when it comes to all of this glorious midweek action: When is Match of the Day on?
Tuesday's games include Manchester United vs Everton, but with the big one on Wednesday as Man City travel to Stamford Bridge to face the league leaders, Match of the Day is being withheld from us until Wednesday night. Surely they could have squeezed two in? But I digress.
When is Match of the Day on?
A midweek edition of Match of the Day will be broadcast on BBC One at 22:45 UK/Irish time on Wednesday night.
Is it on at the same time in Ireland as it is in the UK?
Yep.
If, on occasion, you've found yourself thinking, 'when is Match of the Day on,' only to discover it's delayed until about 23:50 on your local BBC station, fret not. BBC Northern Ireland will broadcast Wednesday night's episode at the same time as their counterparts in London and the rest of the UK - EXCEPT FOR WALES. Sadly, if you're watching in the Land of your Fathers, you'l have to wait until 23:15 to watch Wednesday night's MOTD.
Otherwise, it's 22:45 across the board.
Will they have highlights of Tuesday's games too?
Yes. Wednesday night's episode is scheduled to run from 22:45 to 00:25 - a full 100 minutes. With 10 fixtures to cover, highlights might be somewhat condensed, but all of the goals from both Tuesday and Wednesday night's games will be shown on the programme. Dan Walker and co. will have their work cut out for them.
