Premier League cult hero Paolo Wanchope added to his appeal last night as he was involved in a brawl with a security guard after he tried to enter the pitch after an u23 match.
The former Manchester City, Derby County and West Ham striker is the manager of the Costa Rica national team and he reportedly wanted to go on the pitch and remonstrate with the referee after the stalemate u23 match between Costa Rica and Panama.
Reports suggest that Wanchope grew frustrated when he was told by the security guard that he could not enter the pitch, he then opened the gate and pushed a steward which began the fracas.
Wanchope was appointed Costa Rica manager in February, he was assistant at the 2014 FIFA World Cup when Costa Rica topped a group with Italy, Uruguay and England before being knocked out on penalties in the quarter-finals against The Netherlands.

He's amazing still only 39 years old but he should probably think twice before fighting another security guard.
