Yaya Toure will almost certainly not be a Manchester City player next season, and if you didn't know that before watching his performance against Real Madrid, you probably would have been able to guess from watching him saunter around in midfield.

It has almost become a cliche to describe the big Ivorian as "lazy", but after seeing the total lack of effort he put in to arguably the biggest game in Manchester City's history, there really isn't much more than can be said.
Fans want to see players trying their heart out for the shirt. This, from Yaya, is the exact opposite.

Pathetic. Yes he was struggling with injuries in the build-up, but then he shouldn't have played. If you are selected to start you may as well try and make it look like you want to be there.
His performance was absolutely panned on social media.
Fair play to Yaya Toure tonight. He made playing in a Champions League semi-final look effortless.

Yaya Toure comes off, which is a surprise to us all as we didn't know he was on.

The only reason Yaya Toure's not been substituted yet is that we might be waiting ten minutes for him to make his way off the pitch.

Yaya Toure moving somewhere in between a walk and a trot. A tralk?#RealvCity #RMAMCI #UCL

Yaya Toure is done at the top level. Pretty shambolic performance from him tonight. City need to get rid of him ASAP.

Man city were absolutely shambolic, me grandad could run more than Yaya Toure and he's got a punctured lung and had two heart attacks
