UEFA Have Successfully Managed To Ruin The Once Charming Iceland Clap

It feels like a long time ago now but the Viking Thunder Clap was once a charming and idiosyncratic spectacle, one whose choreography captivated fans after Iceland's delightfully funny victory over England and at the Icelandic homecoming itself when it seemed like the entire country was engaged in the clap.

Last night, the French celebrated their semi-final win by appropriating the Viking clap. In fact, before the match, UEFA choreographed a performance of the Viking clap with both sets of supporters joining in.

Miguel Delaney and Nathan Murphy described the sickening scene.

Why don't UEFA go the whole hog and hand out sheets containing the lyrics of the Fields of Athenry.

Ladbrokes Bet of the Day

A glorious day yesterday as Antoine Griezmann both scored last night, guaranteeing us money at 5/2, he almost assured himself of the Golden Boot, thus guaranteeing us more money.

We currently sit pretty on €555. Ladbrokes have kindly informed us that they're going to double whatever we win when handing it to charity.

Today, with some money to play about with, we're harking back to our opening day when we backed France to beat Romania with a draw half-time/France win full time shout.

We're doing the same for the final at 7/2.
