Chelsea may have ran out comfortable winners in the end against Maccabi Tel Aviv but for long periods he game was a cagey affair.

Jose Mourinho has been shuffling his defence around quite a bit this season and Cahill has found himself on the bench for a few games recently.

Ghanaian international Baba Rahman has struggled to get game-time this season after his big money switch from Augsburg in the summer.

It usually takes players a few games to settle back in to the swing of things after a long term injury, but not Lionel Messi. The Argentine was at his superb best on Tuesday as he played his part in the 6-1 humiliation of Roma.
He capped off a wonderful team move to put his side 2-0 up and provided an assist for Gerard Pique. He rounded off his performance with another goal on the hour mark.

Ozil has been Arsenal's key man this season and he was in fine form once again at the Emirates on Tuesday night.
The World Cup winner opened the scoring with a fine diving header mid way through the first half and was a constant menace to Zagreb throughout the game.

The Chilean winger had been struggling a bit for form heading into the game with Zagreb with some suggesting he was in need of long rest.
