We're not really sure what all of these mean, but here's our pick of the sports related posters of this amazing collection of Soviet/Russian propaganda and memorabilia on flickr. Many don't have tags so your guess is as good as our's as to what the meaning for some of them is. Fell free to tell us though!
Update; Many thanks to reader Declan for posting these translations in the comments;
1. "The top grade of Soviet Football"
2."Work, construct and don't bellyache. The path to a new life has been shown to us. You might not be able to become an athlete, but you must exercise."
3. Most of this is hard to make out, but it's an ad for a bike tour. It says "'Starley' [as in the bike company]: St Petersburg, London, Coventry, Birmingham, Paris"
4. This one is in Ukrainian which I don't speak, but I can make out that it says something like, "Exercising - the best means of defending the country." and
5. "Moscow - capital of the Olympics 1980"
