Everybody wishes they were a professional footballer. It's the dream. Most of us have failed to realise this dream, and as such we have become overly dependent on social media to get an inside look into the life we wish we had.
Well, now we can look even closer into the personal lives of professional footballers thanks to the phenomenon that is Snapchat. Every footballer has a twitter account, a facebook page, or an instagram account, but you don't hear about much official Snapchat action.
We had a look around to see what footballers connect with their fans by sending images that delete themselves after a few seconds, and here are our findings:
Filipe Luis (Chelsea) - Username: flilpelk
Chelsea left back Filipe Luis loves a snap. He regularly posts pics from the Chelsea dressing room and training ground as well as pics from his Brazil duty. Well worth a follow even if you're not a Chelsea fan.
Alex Song (West Ham?) - Username: a.song17
Definitely not boring, Alex Song looks likely to return to West Ham, so expect less Barcelona and more London, but still, he's not shy with the snaps.
Ryan Babel (Kasımpaşa) - Username: ryanbabel.com
Liverpool fans may enjoy keeping up with what Ryan Babel is up to. In Turkey at the moment, he has suggested he would like a move to the MLS, which would be good news for his snapchat followers.
Gregory Van Der Weil (PSG) - Username: gkvanderweil
Dutch full-back Gregory Van Der Weil posts holiday snaps and training ground moments from Paris St.Germain and Holland's national team.
Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea) - Username: cescky4
Cesc loves social media. His Instagram account allows access to his family life and his snapchat is more of the same, with a lot of Chelsea stuff in there as well. He seems like a nice guy, just don't say that to an Arsenal fan.
Luke Shaw (Man Utd) - Username: lukeshaw122
United full back Luke Shaw once deleted his snapchat, but then brought it back because...

Adebayo Akinfenwa (AFC Wimbledon) - Username: mrbeastmodeon
The World's strongest footballer truly embraces his snapchat. He regularly gives his opinion on football and posts pics of him demolishing weights at the gym.
Giovani Dos Santos (Villarreal) - Username: oficialgio
Spurs fans likely wont give a shit what Giovani Dos Santos is up to, but he's a bit mad, and good craic if you want a peek inside La Liga, although he is rumoured to be moving to the MLS soon.
Southampton FC - Username: southamptonfc
Not a footballer, but a club of them. Southampton are the kings of social media among football clubs, and they post great snaps of their players having a laugh, messing about, and actually training as well. Definitely worth a follow.
Let us know @ballsdotie if you are following any professional footballers that we have missed and we'll update this post.
Actually, while we're at it...
