Eoin McDevitt, Ken Early, Ciaran Murphy, Simon Hick and Mark Horgan, who have become collectively known at the OTB5 are set to announce their new home today.
It's an announcement eagerly awaited by many Irish sports fans ever since their sojourn from the airwaves began two months ago when they resigned from Newstalk.
But where will that destination be?
Herald.ie reported over the weekend that a slot on RTÉ radio and TV was a possibility saying that three of the five had been spotted in Montrose recently. 2fm is also a contender with former Newstalk CEO, Dan Healy, now heading the station.
Balls.ie learned back in March that both Radio Nova and 4fm were both in talks with the quintet.
Paddy Power released odds on their next destination following the team's resignation from Newstalk with RTÉ being installed as the 6/4. UK radio station, Talksport, were second favourites at 3/1 with 98fm at 5/1. Also in the betting was the possibility of a TV show with TV3 at 6/1 and RTÉ at 8/1.
Given their penchant for photos of themselves in horticultural settings during their gardening leave, I might have a cheeky fiver on them starting their own landscaping company.
Wherever they end up, the cult following which they have amassed is sure to follow.
UPDATE: The five today announced that they would be recording a podcast for the Irish Times.
