Absolutely no chances were being taken when Conor McGregor stepped up to go face to face with his new opponent for UFC 196, although considering the mood throughout the press conference, the massive body guards were hardly needed.
McGregor enjoyed many of Diaz's blunt responses to questions, and aside from steroid accusations that even Diaz himself didn't believe, the atmosphere was far less intense than these events usually are.
Sure enough, the guards weren't needed as McGregor and Diaz both made it perfectly clear that they are both ready to throw down in Las Vegas on March 5th.
This is going to be an absolute classic if that press conference was anything to go by, and the staredown shows just how comfortable McGregor looks at welterweight.
