Here we are again; Arsenal fans furious, calls for Wenger out, an absolute shambles of a performance in a big game.
It's deja vu, and those who called for the legendary manager to step away last season are now reminding everyone that they did so after all of the club's problems came to the surface as Liverpool won 4-0 and wiped the floor with their opponents.
Gary Neville was correct as he ripped into the Arsenal players during the game from his position in the commentary booth, but in the Sky Sports Studio is was Jamie Carragher's turn after the final whistle.
And he pulled no punches. How could he? After so little was done to remedy the problem of last season, it was clear that a bad start could be catastrophic for Wenger after he confirmed he would stay, and that is a decision Carragher believed the Arsenal board 'bottled it'.
He also reiterated what he said last season, that the Arsenal players are cowards.
It's certainly hard to argue.
Can Wenger survive this? The fact that it is just the same stuff over and over again like an Arsenal fan's 'Groundhog Day' nightmare suggests that he, nor those in positions of power, know how to pull the club out of this shocking state they are in.
And incredibly, as we near the closure of the transfer window, the only talk of activity around Arsenal is players leaving the club. Carragher believes it's time for change, and there are many of the club's fans who agree with him.
Today at Anfield may have been the final straw.
