Ahead of the Euros, a new fully-responsive mobile site has come onto our radar where friends can bet against each other for fun (virtual credits) or cash. It comes courtesy of an Irish company called Play N' Brag and it could be a game changer for fantasy football fun during Euro 2016.
It's easy to use and it's different from traditional fantasy sports platforms for two main reasons. First of all, you can play for cash against your mates (while there is also an equally fun free game where you play for virtual tokens). Secondly, you back countries rather than players.
Like the Euros, each team you select gets you three points for a win and one point for a draw. You also get three points for each team that advances in the knockout stages. The team that wins the tournament gets three points plus two bonus points for winning it.
Whoever has the most points at the end wins the pot, and in the event of there been more than one winner, the pot is shared.
You can pick from 1 to 12 teams - any teams - to make up your team before the tournament starts and get whoever you want to join. It drops down to pick 1 to 8 teams when the tournament kicks off whereby all leagues start from the 'Last 16' then.
Best of all, it only takes a few minutes to set up your league as you don't have to be tinkering around with players and budgets. You just simply pick the teams who you think will go the furthest in the tournament and then invite your friends to do likewise.
Inviting friends is simple. Just click on the 'share' link when you have confirmed your league (after picking your team and setting your bet) and send it to who you want to play.
Facebook and Google/Gmail Sign Up Buttons also helped in that I was able to sign up swiftly in a matter of a few clicks.
Aside from the group of friends, it will be great way to really experience the Euros for office and work pools. Akin to a work sweepstakes, or one amongst friends or family for the Euros, but instead you pick who you want, and nobody knows who you have on your team until the tournament has started at which point everyone's team is revealed.
