Last night Steven Gerrard was asked on BT Sport if Mohamed Salah was the greatest African player in Premier League history. Gerrard was slightly uncomfortable with the question but after a little dallying, he agreed that Salah was indeed the greatest African to grace the Premier League.
Of course his words sparked massive debate online, with football fans coming out of the rafters to proffer their opinion. So in the interest of democracy Balls.ie have cobbled together a ranking system whereby we let you, the public, decide who was the greatest African to play in the Premier League. Bear in mind we've had to whittle down the candidates somewhat, sorry Djimi Traore.
