Police at Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium confirmed after the match that Man City striker Sergio Aguero was under investigation after a steward made a complaint following the goal celebration of Raheem Sterling on Saturday afternoon.
The England winger scored a goal in the seventh minute of stoppage time and headed straight to the away fans who spilled onto the pitch causing stewards and police to intervene, and was shown his second yellow and ordered off the pitch.
Pep Guardiola was furious and suggested that if we don't want players to celebrate with the fans they should not invite supporters into the stadium, but on BBC Garth Crooks, to quote himself, had his knickers in a twist.
His issue was not with the rule, but with Mike Dean. While Stephen Hunt will hold on to the title as pound-for-pound best Mike Dean hater, this was vintage Crooks.
Get your priorities right, Mike!
We're not sure if he knows that Dean was following the letter of the law, it seems as though he does not. It's a rule that frustrates players, fans, and pundits alike, but it is there to prevent incidents like the one with Aguero.
And as for priorities, Kevin Kilbane - who had a front row seat for Crooks on Dean - posted the following after filming.
Garth says #Mayo4Sam so I'm with him all the way! ?❤️ pic.twitter.com/2SJm7rbcHv

Will Mayo get a bigger boost this year? Doubtful.
