The world’s most northerly Gaelic Football game takes place this Saturday, just south of the Arctic Circle in Oulu, Finland, under the Northern Lights (the GAA loves a game under lights)
The game is the second leg of the All-Finland Gaelic Football Finals between Oulu Irish Elks GAA club and Helsinki Harps GAA club. They are Finland’s only two GAA clubs and are over 600km's apart.
The game takes place as part of the Irish Festival of Oulu, one of the biggest Irish Music and Irish Culture Festivals in Europe. However, over 50% of the players involved in the match are Non-Irish.
The game takes place in Raati Stadium in Oulu, a 12,000 seat stadium. It is yet to be announced whether Santa will make an appearance.
The game can be streamed online, on Saturday at 5pm, at the following address. http://sporttv.fi/events/129/gaelic-football
