In the build up to UFC 196, Nate Diaz - who would eventually go on to record a second round submission victory over Conor McGregor in the main event - publicly criticised a comment made by ESPN MMA anchor Jon Anik.
Anik claimed while discussing the fight that should Diaz win, he would get a '209' tattoo, such was his belief that McGregor would emerge victorious.
John Anik should keep his bitchass opinion to his self #uwillsoonbeslaped ?? https://t.co/HvFXOHWnGX pic.twitter.com/VJcbQ2XYGX

Anik was quick to apologise following Diaz's reaction, and you can't blame him.
@NateDiaz209 Massive fan of yours. Was a lot more to what was said. Sorry for my comments and any misunderstanding. Not at all my intention.

But when the fight went down, and turned out how it did, Nate had a special message for the ESPN anchor:
Even though Anik was among the first to congratulate Diaz on the win and reveal that he was going to go ahead with what he had said:
Looking for the finest tattoo artist in South Florida. All hail Nate Diaz. Honored to pay tribute to the Diaz bros. & an all-time great win.

We we're waiting for an update, and on Thursday night Anik revealed his new tattoo via Instagram, and will now be reppin' the 209 for the rest of his days:
And they all lived happily ever after:
