Colm Parkinson was having absolutely none Jim Gavin's attempts to brush the Dublin/Armagh incident - which left Davey Byrne with serious injuries - under the carpet, during an interview with the manager ahead of this weekend's Leinster final.
Listening to the interview it's clear Parkinson can't quite get his ahead around why no further action is being taken but from the get-go, Gavin's message was clear:
It's a very regrettable incident, it shouldn't have happened. It's not part of our game but as I've said, both players spoke to each other after the game...
The want to now concentrate on getting their county jerseys back.
However Wooly wasn't letting him off the hook that easily. He quizzed Gavin as to whether Dublin's silence could be seen as them implicating Byrne rather than defending him. After Gavin confirmed that there is a video of the incident, Parkinson then asked whether he thought the clip should be sent into the GAA. The Dublin manager's response?
(And no, I haven't copy and pasted the first quote)
It's regrettable what happened in the game. It shouldn't have happened. It's not part of our game. Both players have spoken to each other. They regret what happened and they want to move on now and focus on their games.
So he doesn't think the video should be sent in? Or does he?

Speaking on Off the Ball after Parkinson's chat with Gavin aired, former Mayo manager James Horan said 'A player has been very badly injured. For me that needs to be looked at by the relevant authorities.'
What do you think? Was Parkinson right to not let it go or should we respect the players' right to put it behind them if that's what they really want?
