As far as disses go, it wasn't exactly the best of the best.
I can’t say anything about a man that imitates a TV series character (Travis Fimmel, from Vikings). That’s really who he wanted to be, because he’s probably ashamed of being who he really is, so he imitates his lines, his style and this actor’s tattoos.
That was Jose Aldo's big parting shot at Conor McGregor after confirming he was out of UFC 189 with a fractured rib. 'You act like someone form a TV show', is not exactly at McGregor levels of being able to get under his opponent's skin but nonetheless, that's what Aldo went with.
We'd imagine the Dubliner was not exactly shaking with anger as he was reading it but, even if he doesn't need it, McGregor has had some support yesterday.
Clive Standen, who plays the brother of Travis Fimmel's character in the extremely popular History Channel show, decided to get involved with the slightly ridiculous argument and there was no doubt about whose side he came down on.
Aldo,@TheNotoriousMMA is no imitation. He's cut from the same cloth! We #Vikings all look forward to seeing his coronation!

There you go, it's official. If/when they do go head to head, McGregor has the Vikings firmly on his side. Good to know.
