Kicker are reporting that Arsenal are ready to pull the trigger on a move that would look to directly improve their starting lineup by bringing Ricardo Rodriguez in to the club.
The highly rated left back looks set to leave Wolfsburg, and apparently Arsene Wenger is willing to match his release clause and make Rodriguez a second early transfer of the summer after his compatriot Granit Xhaka. The two are actually best mates as it happens.
That is according to both Kicker and Bild in Germany, which is pretty much as reliable as it gets. Whether the move is complete of course remains to be seen, but Arsenal to appear to be interested.

This would also confirm the suspicion that Kieran Gibbs is on his way out of the club, having reportedly asked to be moved on in order to secure first team football.
While Nacho Monreal is a fan favourite at the Emirates, the Spaniard is 31, and Rodriguez is also widely believed to be one of the top players at the position in Europe.
