Alan Judge apologised to Rangers fans today. Time will tell whether he will be forced to deny that he's been robbing James McClean's Wolfe Tones CDs.
When Judge first arrived at Brentford, they were managed by former financial trader and current Rangers manager Mark Warburton.

Judge was asked yesterday whether he'd consider joining Warburton at his old boss's new club.
No, I wouldn't be going to Rangers, no chance. I had that call in the summer and I went 'are you kidding me?' I'd get killed up there! Was I asked? Yeah, of course he did, but no, not a chance. Just, if he ever moves on, he's a manager I'd like to work with again.
These comments created quite a stir in the Rangers corner of the internet, with many labelling him a 'bigot'.
This was one of the kinder and more reasoned objections.
Alan Judge has a warped preconception of Rangers fans.If he had signed he would have been welcomed, like MOH.onwards and upwards. #Rangers

In response to the barrage, Judge attempted to win Rangers fans around by saying he has lots of mates who are Celtic fans - an eminently believable statement - and that his comments were just a joke aimed at them.
As in, his Celtic loving friends would kill him if he went 'up there' - rather than the Rangers fans.
Ppl taking my article the wrong way it was nothing against rangers.I hav a lot of mates who r Celtic fans it was a joke.

Fearless twitter superstar James McClean attempted to undermine the gravitas of his apology.

There is a chance McClean will be among the hordes at the CityWest this Saturday. The Wolfe Tones will be giving it loads.
