England were overwhelming favourites going into their last-16 match with Iceland this evening.
Last night, previewing the game on BBC, Rio Ferdinand predicted that should England get an early goal - which they did - the game would be a 'walk in the park' for Wayne Rooney and Co.
After Wayne Rooney scored from a penalty after four minutes, Iceland swiftly hit back, taking the lead by the 18th minute. Their advantage would hold until the final whistle.
So... England v Iceland then. Here are the thoughts of @alanshearer, @rioferdy5 & @thierryhenry #ENG #bbceuro2016 https://t.co/7URckI14tB

This morning's Times also smacked of English overconfidence.
On Sunday, against Ireland, Adil Rami and N'Golo Kante picked up yellow cards which would rule them out of the quarter-final - against either England or Iceland.
The Times didn't give the Icelanders much chance of being the beneficiaries of those suspensions.
