Reese Witherspoon has been bossing the television game in recent times, executive producing and starring in hit series Big Little Lies and The Morning Show. She has also achieved acclaim in the US for another mini-series called Little Fires Everywhere and the good news for us is that it's coming to Ireland later this month.
Originally aried on Hulu in the States, Little Fires Everywhere will drop on Amazon Prime here on 22 May.
Witherspoon stars alongside Kerry Washington and Joshua Jackson (best known for his time with the Mighty Ducks) in a show based on the Celeste Ng novel of the same name. It's a difficult one to talk about without giving too much away but Amazon describe it as:
"Little Fires Everywhere follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives. The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood – and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster."
While reviews of the series so far have tilted towards the John Giles 'a good show not a great show,' its 76% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.7 vote on IMDB definitely place it in the worth a watch folder.
