We're all still in shock after this week's episode; one which seems to have split fans right down the middle. However, whether you enjoyed or detested Daenarys' villianous turn, you can't deny it was a spectacular episode, in terms of shock factor. On this week's 'The Rewind' podcast, our Game of Thrones fanatics, Mark Farrelly, Chloe Guildea and Donny Mahoney, give their reaction to 'The Bells' and their ratings for each of the characters?
Could Jon improve on his dreadful player ratings during the season so far? Could anyone match Tormund's 10/10 from last week? Search 'The Rewind' on all good podcast apps to subscribe to the show, or you can listen below:
One character who sparked some disagreement this week was Jaime Lannister (RIP):
Mark: Take away the gripe people have with him, of "Oh why's he going back to Cersei? He's a changed man." What did we learn from the marriage referendum? Love is love! You can't choose who you love and if it just happens to be your twin sister and she just happens to be one of the most evil people who ever existed, what can he do about it?
He can't hide his feelings, he can't run away form them. In fact, he did the opposite. He did exactly what he said he was going to do, he was going to die in the arms of the woman he loved...
Chloe: He knew who he really was and I think that was the case for a lot of the characters, that you can't really change. Which is kind of an awful message. No one really changed, they all ended up how they started out...
So with Jaime, I loved him, he was an amazing character but I was a little disappointed in his death. I think he deserved a bigger send-off but the fact that he was with Cersei and they were together does make sense....
Mark: We've got two eights and a six out of ten for Jaime, Donny, can we comprimise with a seven?
Donny: Can I just make this point? If you care about this thing so much [getting back to Cersei], put a glove on your hand! It's so obvious, you're asking for trouble. He's the most recognised man in the Seven Kingdoms with that hand and he even forgot to do it when he was getting into King's Landing. If you have any priorities, put a glove on!
