After making more than $800m worldwide and becoming a critical darling, Wonder Woman's lasso of truth was never going to stay idle forever.
Well, fast forward to the 1980s as Diana Prince's next big-screen adventure finds her facing two all-new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah.
After knocking it out of the park on the original, Patty Jenkins (Monster) is back at the helm with Gal Gadot returning in the title role.
However, the big mystery sees the return of Chris Pine as Steve Trevor - we're itching to see how this one is explained - while Kristen Wiig (The Cheetah) and Pedro Pascal (Max Lord) are welcome new additions.
After the first trailer gave us a good glimpse at the '80s setting, the latest footage really ups the action stakes as we get to see Wonder Woman face-off against her new adversaries.
Aside from this, we get another glimpse at Themyscira, a tease at The Cheetah's back story, and a showdown at what looks like The White House.
As things stand, Wonder Woman 1984 is set for release on October 2.
We can't wait.
Take a look at what's in store.
