Wrestling can be a weird world at the best of times. This week's promotional opportunity for WWE's 'Crown Jewel' event by The Undertaker is even weirder.

Over the past few years, the WWE have made all sorts of ties with the Saudi Arabian government and it has received plenty of backlash since it's inception.

As Newcastle United are just breaking bread with the country tied up in scandal, human rights abuse and assassinations, wrestling is deeply, deeply invested.

This week the WWE will hold it's annual Saudi-led pay-per-view event, Crown Jewel. The main event will feature Brock Lesnar opposite Roman Reigns.

In an attempt to plug the show, the wrestling company had one of their better stars of past appear at a Pitbull concert in Riyadh, Saudi's capital, for some exposure.

The Undertaker was dressed to the nines and looked two seconds short of slamming someone in a tombstone piledriver. But that wasn't his purpose.

Instead, real-life Mark Calaway, came out to his entrance song and introduced an artist that might be quite possibly the complete opposite to his in-ring persona.

"A man that is known around the world. He is mister 305. He is mister worldwide. He is the Grammy award winning, international stoo-superstar."

The stark contrast between the gong heard in The Undertaker's theme tune and the introduction of 'Don't Stop The Party' by Pitbull is something that doesn't need to be heard, ever again.

The Undertaker's Last Ride

Why is The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia? 'The Phenom' has retired from all wrestling circles, as heavily documented in 'The Last Ride' documentary.

Since the WWE became invested with the country in 2018, he has featured on quite a number of shows over there, mostly in matches with other past their prime legends.

It's a sad state of affairs to see The Undertaker do this sort of thing for money. But the WWE's partnership with Saudi Arabia has stooped to some unthinkable lows.

The banning of female WWE superstars until 2019 was one thing. The wrestlers allegedly being taken hostage after an event is another. It's already one of the darkest tales in wrestling.
