The Hendy brothers, known as either TPM, The Mary Wallopers or simply Charles and Andrew, are talented lads.
The two boys have dipped their toes into the worlds of hip-hop and trad with two separate bands, each as popular as the last.
Now, alongside filmmaker Brownsauce, they've turned their hand at something completely different.
The result of the collaboration is a pilot episode of a travel/history show titled 'What's The Craic?'
The pilot sees the lads visit the site of the Battle of the Boyne, likening the historic battle to American Chopper. They only decided to head to the landmark because the queue for Newgrange was too long. It also sees the two lads reenact the battle between themselves.
The visit to the battleground piqued their interest in other battles fought on Irish soil, so they decided to head to Pat Kelly's shed, a place with the an assortment of memorabilia collected throughout the Troubles.
The shed contains a vast array of memorabilia from the Troubles, yet also contains a poster of Michael Jackson amongst other things. The episode ends in Pat Kelly's shed, listening to the sounds of gunfire in a poignant moment about how we experience history and the context that we place memorabilia and artefacts.
However, due to the nature of our current situation, Brownsauce couldn't leave us there. Instead, he threw in a range of bloopers for some additional comic relief.
It contains, amongst other... eclectic moments the capture of 'sex aliens', the waterboarding of a friend, and some behind the scenes action at Body & Soul.
By the end of the episode, you'll be left with two questions:
- Is there a better place to sing Amhran na bhFiann than in a hot tub amongst your buddies?
- When's the next episode?
