When Sky News were discussing the problems that currently face the NHS, Rod Stewart singing at the end of their programme definitely wasn't expected.
With the Crises that the NHS is currently facing, Sky News had a phone in show this afternoon, where people expressed their opinions and experiences on the health service.
Among those to make their feelings clear was Rod Stewart, with the popular signer not holding back on criticising the Conservative government.
Blimey.

After hearing some heartbreaking stories from people, who bravely called in to share their experiences during illness, Rod Stewart called into the show to give his sympathies, while also giving his opinion on what needs to change.
In a touching moment, he also offered to pay for vital scans that people may need, after going for one himself and witnessing how empty it was.

I personally have been a Tory for a long time, but I think this government should stand down now, and give the Labour party a go at it because it is heartbreaking for the nurses, it really is heartbreaking.
In all my years living in this country I have never seen it so bad. Anything I can do to help, to all the Nurses I'm on your side. If we are going to privatise it, it could be come terribly expensive.
I would like to pay for 10 or 20 scans, and I hope some people will follow, because it appears ridiculous that this particular scan clinic is empty, and there is people dying because they can' get scans.
I don't need the publicity, I just want to do some good things, and I think this is a good thing. If other people do it, I would love it.
As for my immediate family and all my kids, I'm lucky enough to be able to send them to a private service. Change the bloody Government!"
For a lot of people, be it Nurses, patients, those with long-term illnesses, and healthcare workers, it will have been refreshing to see someone of Rod Stewart's profile give them support at such a vital time.
From poor working conditions, to calls to increase pay, to reports of the service becoming privatised, the NHS is at crisis point.
Often we see Rod Stewart use his humour and personality in funny moments, but the support he has received today for such a serious issue has received huge praise.
On a lighter note, he broke into song once the presenter revealed her parents favourite Rod Stewart Song at the end of the programme.
