Following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis on Monday, unease in American cities has continued to escalate. Protests and rioting broke out in Minneapolis as the community waited on a charge to come against police officer Derek Chauvin. Over the last number of days, these protests have spread across the country.
As the protests have gone on around America, the behaviour of the police has gotten more and more bizarre. Yesterday, the world was stunned to see a black reporter for CNN arrested live on air for covering the protests, and last night, it went a step further, with a riot police officer brazenly stepping out of the line and firing pepper balls at a news reporter and crew as they were filming the protests and police response in Louisville, Kentucky.
The footage was live on the local news, and is scarcely believable to watch.

There were clashes between protesters and rioters all across America again last night. Tear gas was used liberally by police, even outside the White House where protesters gathered in increasing numbers.

Yesterday, Chauvin was charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter for the death of George Floyd.
