When it comes to nature documentaries, anything related to David Attenborough remains king. His recent offerings such as Planet Earth II and Seven Worlds, One Planet were brilliant watches, while his partnership with Netflix for Our Planet was a smash hit.
Netflix have ventured further into the nature documentary genre in recent years, with their latest offering dropping tomorrow, August 7th.
Tiny Creatures will focus on (as you can probably guess) the smaller animals that are often overlooked in these types of shows. While Attenborough will not feature on this project, the series is directed by Planet Earth II director Jonathan Jones.
Judging by the trailer, we can expect to see plenty of very tense footage as we watch these small animals attempt to evade much larger predators.
You can watch the trailer in full below.
Netflix describes the show as:
Tiny Creatures magnifies some of the world's smallest wildlife, finding that bigger isn't always better.
In every episode, immerse yourself in a different ecosystem and see the drama that unfolds right at our very feet.
The docu-series is narrated by Mike Colter and directed by Emmy-winning cinematographer Jonathan Jones (Planet Earth II).
We are certainly likely to be on the edge of our seats for this one.
Still, it will do well to match the drama offered up by this scene in Planet Earth II.
