Frank Ocean - Channel Orange
...it's been seven years since one of the decade's greatest albums was released
There's a dearth of new albums out today, so instead, we're going to throw it all the way back to 2012. Channel Orange was Frank Ocean's debut album, featuring cameos from the likes of Andre 3000, Earl Sweatshirt, and John Mayer. The album was a turning point for R&B, although multi-faceted in terms of genre, with Ocean singing and rapping in equal measure. Even seven years on, the record sounds just as timeless. AJ Tracey X Jorja Smith - Flowers (Sunship Remix) Cover
... one of the best Radio 1 Live Lounges we've seen
The Sunship remix of Sweet Female Attitude's 'Flowers' is a staple in any garage playlist. Following on from their collaboration on the garage-influenced track 'Ladbroke Grove', Smith and Tracey covered the song during their Live Lounge. Tracey's new verses over the classic beat give 'Flowers' a face for 2019, whilst Smith's brilliant vocal performance on the chorus is a joy to behold. Catch the full performance below:
