While Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson might be better known for their roles as Peter Parker and Edward Cullen in the Spider-Man and Twilight films, both actors have established themselves in other roles.
For example, Pattinson's recent performances in The Lighthouse and Good Time were exceptional. Aside from this, he's also got a small film called Tenet being released very soon.
As for Holland, the 24-year-old has made a superb Spider-Man as he effortlessly balances the nerdy and heroic sides of the character, but the actor is equally impressive in the likes of The Impossible, In the Heart of the Sea, and Pilgrimage.
Well, both men lead an all-star cast in The Devil All The Time, Netflix's new Midwestern Gothic tale which spans two decades.
Based on Donald Ray Pollock’s award-winning novel, the story is set in Knockemstiff, Ohio and revolves around the sinister characters that converge around young Arvin Russell (Holland) as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and everything he loves.
In terms of the sinister characters, there's an unholy preacher (Robert Pattinson), twisted couple (Jason Clarke and Riley Keough), and the crooked sheriff (Sebastian Stan).
Spanning the time between World War II and the Vietnam war, director Antonio Campos looks like he's crafted a great take of suspense and revenge.
Aside from Holland and Pattinson, the film also stars Bill Skarsgård, Mia Wasikowska, Harry Melling, Haley Bennett, Riley Keough, Jason Clarke, Sebastian Stan, and Pokey LaFarge.
The Devil All The Time is released on Netflix on September 16.
