It might already be on every single hour of the day on numerous channels, but we still can't enough of The Chase. ITV know that, and they're giving us even more. Next Monday, a new show, featuring all five Chasers (but not new Irish chaser Darragh Ennis unfortunately) will debut called "Beat The Chasers" and will air every night for the whole week on a new prime time slot.
All five Chasers are forming the greatest quiz team on the planet.
Do you have what it takes to Beat The Chasers?
Starts 27th April at 9pm on ITV and @itvhub@ITVChase @BradleyWalsh @MarkLabbett @TheShaunWallace @anne_hegerty @paulsinha @jenlion pic.twitter.com/jxX1X9wfVv— ITV (@ITV) April 17, 2020
Most importantly, Irish viewers will also be able to watch, with the showing airing at the same time on Virgin Media One.
Beat The Chasers challenges contestants from the audiences to take on two, three, four or all five Chasers at once.
Hosted by Bradley Walsh, the 5-part series will air all next week, starring the five Chasers Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty, Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha, Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan and Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace.
ITV's press release for the show somewhat explains the premise:
Bradley will call contestants down from the studio audience to compete. In the Cash Builder they’ll face five multiple choice questions, with the chance to bank up to £5,000. But get the first question wrong - they’re out!
Next, contestants are given the option of playing between two and all five Chasers for increasing amounts of money, but with a decreasing time advantage against them. As the money goes up, so does the number of Chasers they must face. But those brave enough to take on all five Chasers could walk away with a huge cash prize.
Let's presume nobody is going to beat the five of them though!
We're not exactly sure how it all works but we're certainly intrigued. The more The Chase in our lives the better.
