The LeBron James-led sequel to Space Jam is going to be brighter. Much, much brighter.
While plot details are scarce, we're pretty sure the film is going to involve another match between the MonStars and the Tune Squad. Still no word if Bill Murray is going to have a role though!
However, Don Cheadle is joining James in the sequel that's directed by Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip, Night School).
Aside from this, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is producing Space Jam: A New Legacy and Warner Bros. have the film slated for release on 16 July, 2021.

The Lakers superstar shared the first image of him getting kitted-out in the new Tune Squad jersey via The LeBron James Family Foundation social media channels and as you can see, the uniform pays more of an homage to the iconic Looney Tunes concentric circles within an overall colour scheme of powder blue.
Can LeBron fill Michael Jordan's shoes? Well, we might need to see Jordan's reaction to the sequel in another episode of The Last Dance.
