Since the death of Shane MacGowan on November 30, there have been hordes of tributes to the legendary Pogues frontman, whose genius as a songwriter and singer has been celebrated immensely since his passing.
Widely shared were the clips of his funeral, with the likes of Nick Cave, Glen Hansard, and Spider Stacy all giving glorious renditions of some of the Pogues' best songs.
The Best Musical Tributes To The Late Shane MacGowan
Outside of the ceremony in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, there have many other covers by well known artists paying their respects to MacGowan.
Damien Dempsey posted a cover of 'The Body Of An American' to his Instagram, in preparation for upcoming shows.
The Darkness, who were playing in Dublin recently, whipped out a fine cover of 'Fairytale of New York', which produced a classic Irish sing-a-long.
Other tributes included ones from Sharon Shannon, hip hop legends Cypress Hill, uilleann piper Tara Howley, and English singer-songwriter Ian Prowse.
