The Script have today announced that they will be putting on a free gig for everyone working for either the HSE or the NHS on the island of Ireland.
The band announced through their social media that the gig will take place in the 3Arena on February 9 2021, with anyone who works for either entity in any capacity entitled to come along.
We're excited to be heading back to the @3ArenaDublin on February 9th 2021, for a free show available to HSE and NHS staff members in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland 🤘🏻 Tickets will be available from 7pm on Tuesday, April 7th 💚💙 https://t.co/ecX0wdqcSa pic.twitter.com/QzPB1bkFbS

The band's lead singer Danny O'Donoghue says that the gesture is a 'thank you' for the sacrifices that the people in question have made over the past number of weeks in fighting the coronavirus.
The band expanded on their feelings in a statement.
We've always been huge supporters of those working on the frontline of our healthcare. They make sacrifices day in and day out, working harder than anyone. Not only to make sure we have access to resources in order for us to continue to live happy and healthy lives, but to also help us and our loved ones through some of the hardest points in our lives.
Tickets will be made available on April 7 at 7pm, with each member of either the HSE or NHS eligible for two tickets.
The Dublin-based band have also tried to creatively combat the boredom that has creeped in due to self-isolation.
They have created a karaoke livestream, which allows people to singalong with their favourite tunes of the band, all from the comfort of their own home.
#TheScriptFamily... this Friday night is karaoke night!! Join us at 8pm BST, where we will be premiering a handful of your favourite songs on our YouTube, for you to singalong to 🎤🎶 #TheScriptKaraokeNight pic.twitter.com/zi0dZ7eLzC
