"If you don't get rid of it, Dermot, I'll get rid of it."

There is no doubt in our mind that if Joe and Mary from Sunday's night Room To Improve were sent to London as representatives for Ireland and the EU, Brexit would be sorted out within minutes. The Brits would be wooed by their chemistry, Mary would lay down the law and Joe would have the Backstop up on Done Deal quicker than you can say "Tipperary cream mortar."

By the looks of it, all of Ireland fell in love with the Tipperary couple who transformed Joe's 'bachelor pad' into a modern home on this week's show.

Ahead of their wedding, 26 years after they first got together, the happy couple decided to enlist the help of Dermot Bannon in turning a "pig" into a silk purse. Joe thought the house was grand as it was but Mary and Dermot had different ideas, and to be fair, they were right.

The shed was knocked, the yard was torn up and the 'good room' was knocked through, without any care for where Joe is going to dry his clothes now.

Aside from the storyline of what the newly renovated home was going to look like, people also became engrossed in Joe's love for Done Deal. He had no intentions of chucking anything out unless he first found a buyer.

When all was said and done, we had ourselves a very nice house but more importantly, we had stumbled upon royality. It's a shame that Joe and Mary will only get to spend a short time in their new home before they have to make the big move to Áras an Uachtarain.

If anyone is looking for Joe, he has currently been tasked with bringing an end to the beef crisis, the housing crisis, the situation in the Amazon rainforest, global warming and is now in charge of Manchester United's transfer dealings.
