Dark - Season 1
... Ahead of season two dropping on Netflix this Friday
We've spoken at length about Dark before but if you've yet to get around to it then time is of the essence. Season two of the German thriller arrives on Netflix this Friday, 21st of June and we cannot wait. Set in the small town of Winden, in 2019, the series feels like Stranger Things and Twin Peaks got together and had a child. However in some aspects, Dark arguably trumps both of these classics.
The town is thrown into disarray when a child goes missing in circumstances remarkably similar to 33 years previous, when a different kid vanished. The mystery that unfolds is engrossing, shocking and at times ... well ... dark.
Check out the season one trailer below and make sure to keep on eye on The Rewind throughout the week for more coverage.

An astounding yet unsurprising Boris Johnson story
... For those of you following the Tory leadership race or if you just want a laugh
Boris Johnson is an example of someone who has taken the age-old "claims he didn't study of the exam - gets a A" trope to the absolute extreme. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not for a second saying he's a genius or anything but if you think his golly-gosh buffoonery is 100% natural then you are sadly mistaken.
Throughout the course of the Tory leadership race, some British people have been sharing stories of their encounters with Johnson but perhaps Jeremy Vine's tale best exemplifies just how prepared Boris Johnson's unpreparedness really is. His Facebook post is a bit of a long read but definitely worth your time.
