The Man Who Wanted To Fly
If you missed its airing on RTÉ One last night then you absolutely have to check out the brilliant Irish documentary The Man Who Wanted To Fly. The Loosehorse Productions feature was initially released in Irish cinemas earlier this summer before making the jump to television. It centres around the fantastic Cavan octogenarian Bobby Coote, who has had a lifelong dream to fly his own plane.

For the day that's in it, this BBC documentary looks like it could be a cracker tonight. Comedian Geoff Norcott grew up as a working class Tory supporter and he's taking trip back to his roots to examine what the hell has happened to British society.
It airs tonight on BBC 2 at 9pm.
