A new documentary about Phil Lynott will be released in cinemas this autumn.
'Phil Lynott: Songs For While I’m Away' is directed by Emer Reynolds and "reveals how a young black boy from working-class 1950s Dublin became Ireland’s greatest rock star and created some of the world’s most iconic and extraordinary rock songs. A songwriter, poet and icon, Phil’s rise from humble beginnings to sell-out stadiums was spectacular and unprecedented."
The story will largely be told through the words of Lynott but will also feature contributions from Eric Bell, Scott Gorham, Darren Wharton, Midge Ure, U2’s Adam Clayton, Suzi Quatro, Huey Lewis, Skid Row’s Brush Shiels, and Metallica’s James Hetfield.
