We could all use an uplifting story at the minute.
We may all be stuck indoors for the foreseeable future, but that gives us plenty of time to catch up with some of the TV and movie releases we have missed in recent years.
There is a prime opportunity to do just that tonight, and it doesn't hurt that is one of the most inspiring movies that has been released in recent years.
Stronger will air on BBC 2 at 9pm tonight. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, it tells the remarkable true story of Jeff Bauman.
Bauman lost both of his legs in the Boston Marathon bombing of 2013, where he was waiting near the finish line to support his wife Erin.
Stronger tells the story of his injuries, rehabilitation, and the obstacles he faces along the way. In all of this, we follow his journey in achieving his ultimate goal of learning to walk once again.
You can watch the trailer below.
We will certainly be tuning in.
While the movie does differ slightly from Bauman's real-life memoir of the same name (such as the fact that he and Erin are not together at the time of the accident in the film), it is still a story worth knowing more about.
