While it may not be to everyone’s tastes, there is no doubt that The Office US was one of the most successful comedies of the 21st century. Written by Greg Daniels as an adaptation of the Ricky Gervais original, the show had a nine-season run from 2005 to 2013.
One of the main reasons for its success was the part of Michael Scott, the role which catapulted Steve Carrell into superstardom. He was incredibly funny as Scott, who carried The Office until the final two seasons when Carrell stepped aside.
Luckily for comedy fans, those two have teamed up in a new show now available on Netflix.
Space Force is written by Daniels, starring Carrell as the leader of a new arm of the US military, which is set up with the goal of travelling to the moon once again. Carrell looks to be playing a character which is incredibly similar to Michael Scott, so it certainly seems to have plenty of potential.

Netflix describes the show as:
A decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell) is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force.
Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colourful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance.
We will definitely be tuning into this one over the coming week!
