RTÉ Comic Relief was a massive success last night, with €5million raised for worthy causes. The money will be split amongst a number of different Irish charities over the remainder of 2020.
There were some hilarious moments on last night's show, including an in-form Roy Keane, a sketch from the cast of Derry Girls that also featured Saoirse Ronan, and a jaw-dropping performance from Hozier.
However, the thing that had everyone talking was Connell and Marianne being reunited on our screens. Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones reprised their roles from Normal People for a brilliant sketch, one that also featured Andrew Scott as his character from Fleabag.
It was absolutely hilarious.

Considering the popularity of both Normal People and Fleabag, this one was always going to be a huge success.
It's fair to say that people couldn't get enough of it.

That’s the crossover event of the year. The couple from Normal people go for confession with the sexy priest from Fleabag. And it was gorgeous. https://t.co/UFNcU67Zt6

That wasn't the only Normal People themed contribution of the night.
Deirdre O'Kane and Peter McDonald starred in sketch that looked at what Connell and Marianne's life would be like 40 years down the road, and it was pretty brilliant.
Well, at least we can get Connell and Marianne back together for a great cause. Still working on their communication skills though... 😂 Donate to @RTE & @RTEOne's #RTEComicRelief now: https://t.co/YNFRt910zT pic.twitter.com/6tpeHMmkvQ
