We will get through this together. The message of unity has been spread far and wide throughout this country over the past few weeks, and it is becoming increasingly clear that each of us will have a part to play in overcoming the challenges ahead.
With the Government's new measures coming into effect last night, it could be said that we are now more disconnected than ever before.
It certainly doesn't feel that way.
This whole thing has brought a sense of community that hasn't been felt on the national level in some time. There is an appreciation for what others are doing to help out, especially those on the front lines.
Appearing on The Late Late Show last night, Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh said that the unity of the Irish people has been remarkable. When the legendary GAA commentator speaks, the country tends to listen.
Ó Muircheartaigh has been isolating with his family for the past 14 days, but he still has a sense of what other people are feeling.

It's great to see the unity, all the people that came together. There's a proverb in Irish, 'ní neart go cur le chéile', you don't appreciate the power of coming together until you see it in operation.
An awful lot of people are cooperating right now and it's wonderful to see...
Those that have retired, they volunteered quickly to come back. That shows the spirit of the doctors and the nurses, and a whole rake of people with different jobs to do and different companies.
To see them all together with one purpose, we must beat this as soon as we can. It's great to see that. It gives hope to people, and there's nothing like hope.
Look forward to the next day which might be a little bit better. But in the next few weeks it might taper off we hope and be gone and be part of history...
I think it's a good thing to look forward and hope that things will be better. Things will be better.
Unsurprisingly, the public were touched by what the Kerryman had to say.

Great seeing the amazing and ever engaging Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh @rte on The Late Late Show. His delightful way of using Irish and English in the same sentence made him my favourite sports commentator bar none. A total pleasure to listen to.
