After eight weeks of drama, heartbreak, bombshells and more, Love Island is over with Davide and Ekin-Su crowned as champions. The pair will take home £25,000 each in cash after the public voted them as winners.
Andrew and Tasha finished in fourth with New Ross native Dami and his girlfriend Indiyah finishing in third place. Luca and Gemma proved to be Davide and Ekin-Su's closest rivals as they finished as runners up.

If you've followed Love Island over the past couple of months, you can certainly relate to this tweet. After the islanders were asked to vote for their two least compatible couples, Luca seemed rather unhappy with him and Gemma receiving three votes.
Luca went on to pest his fellow islanders on why they voted for him and Gemma leading to some quality memes over the past couple of days.

There's no doubting Luca's feeling towards Gemma and at one stage they did seem the most likely couple to win Love Island, but after some slightly over the top reactions from the Londoner towards Gemma, their chances of winning slowly faded.
Over the past couple of months, almost everyone felt that he was way more into Gemma than she was into him and this meme captures the majority of the public's opinion on their relationship.

It's safe to say Luca was more than surprised to Davide and Ekin-Su being crowned champions. After voting for the pair as one of his least compatible couples only a couple of days ago, the loss to Davide and Ekin-Su is likely a tough one for Luca to take and it's captured brilliantly in this meme tweeted last night.
