Liam Neeson has a fairly mixed catalogue of movies to his name at this point in his career, although a new addition on Netflix does look promising.
Whereas the Antrim man has starred in some smash hit films such as Schindler's List, Star Wars, and Love Actually, much of his later career has been made up of quite a few forgettable action flicks.
While a lot of those offerings are likely to have passed you by, his latest released on the streaming service might be of particular interest to Irish movie fans.

Liam Neeson thriller set in Ireland has dropped on Netflix
In The Land Of Saints And Sinners is a thriller that has just dropped on Netflix, starring Liam Neeson as the film's protagonist.
The plot of the movie revolves around four IRA members who make their way across the border from Northern Ireland to Donegal after carrying out a bombing in 1974.
Here they land in the quiet town of Glencolmcille, although they were unaware that it was also home to unassuming hit man Finbar Murphy (played by Neeson). Predictably, he soon becomes involved in a conflict with those same IRA members.
Unlike many movies set in Ireland, this one boasts an impressive stable of local actors. Along with Neeson, the likes of Colm Meaney, Kerry Condon, and Jack Gleeson (who played Joffrey in Game of Thrones) all play starring roles.
The movie is now available to stream on Netflix and you can watch the trailer below.

As you can see, the movie makes the most of the local landscape, having been filmed in Donegal, as well some additional filming in Dublin.
It currently boasts a rating of 75% on Rotten Tomatoes, who describe the film as:
Ireland, 1970s. Eager to leave his dark past behind, Finbar Murphy (Liam Neeson) leads a quiet life in the remote coastal town of Glencolmcille, far from the political violence that grips the rest of the country.
But when a menacing crew of terrorists arrive, led by a ruthless woman named Doirean (Kerry Condon), Finbar is drawn into an increasingly vicious game of cat and mouse, forcing him to choose between exposing his secret identity or defending his friends and neighbours.
If you're looking for something to watch this weekend, this one could be worth a shot.
