At midnight, Noel Gallagher released a demo for an unreleased track called 'Don't Stop'. The only other version of the song existed via a soundcheck in Hong Kong 15 years, and even though Gallagher said he had no knowledge of the song's recording date, its release was widely welcomed by Oasis fans (although many were curious how Liam Gallagher would respond)
Safe to say Oasis fans woke up happy today.

Oasis have a new song out.
I’m legally not allowed to go to the pub.
And everyone’s excited about which players Newcastle United might sign this summer.

It even got some people thinking that this might be Noel's way of trying make some peace with Liam and bury the hatchet. Some people were even telling themselves this might be the first step to the much-wanted Oasis reunion.
Well that's as far away as ever.
Last night, Liam used the Instagram platform to totally rubbish the song, his brother and his sister-in-law, killing any hopes of a reunion in one swift moment.
He added on other platforms:
‘Oi tofu boy if your gonna release old demos make sure im singing on it and boneheads playing guitar on it. (sic)’
Well there’s something missing in this god almighty stew and it’s your brother your brother don’t forget your brother La as you were LG x

Noel had hyped the song release yesterday with a tweet that read:
As fate would have it I have stumbled across an old demo which I thought had been lost forever. ‘As far as I’m aware there is only one version of this tune “out there” from an Oasis soundcheck in Hong Kong about 15 years ago? ‘I’m not sure whether the soundcheck version pre dates the demo as there’s no date on the cd. ‘I know some of you love this tune so we thought we’d put it “out there” for you to enjoy/argue over. It’ll be up on the internet from midnight. ‘The song is called: ‘Don’t Stop…’ Hope everyone is staying safe and trying to ride out the lockdown with the minim
It's good to know that at a time when everything is upside down in the world, at least the Gallagher brothers still hate each other.
