As the world continues to battle against the coronavirus pandemic, it is clear that we will all need to do our part in order to overcome this as soon as possible. People need to follow government guidelines, especially when it comes to things such as social distancing and remaining indoors.
In recent days, images circulated on social media showing packed parks in London, leading many to question if people appreciated the seriousness of the current situation.

In the UK, as it is in Ireland, only essential businesses are to remain open, while people are asked only to leave their homes for food shopping and exercise.
Many people are not adhering to those guidelines and seem to have a blasé attitude to COVID-19. It will not come as a surprise to learn that Katie Hopkins is amongst that group.
Known for being an absolute pain in the arse in every conceivable situation, she posted a video online praising a garden centre for staying open despite being recommended to close. She also encouraged people to 'defy bureaucrats' and that garden centres being open was key to people's mental health.
Right.
She soon received a response from a local Police department.
(2/2)... Now more than ever we need everyone to work with us to encourage people to stay home, protect the NHS and save lives. As a member of the Devon community, do the right thing and join the community effort to protect each other.

It's a pity they couldn't just lock her up and be done with it.
Figures such as Hopkins can be dangerous at the best of times, but her influencing people during a time such as this can only be bad news. Let's hope nobody does so.
