In the midst of a global pandemic and during a major call for racial justice in the States, Kanye West tweeted to announce he's running for president.
Even if Kanye doesn't rival Donald Trump for the presidency, he certainly rivals him as being the most bizarre character in popular culture.

This is certainly the case following a number of crazy ramble-filled interviews with Forbes.
In the interview, he:
- retracted his support for Trump
- said he was running for president under a new banner - "the Birthday Party"
- revealed he had coronavirus in February
- said he had never voted in his life
- said he wore the MAGA hat because he likes "Trump hotels and the saxophones in the lobbies"
These are just a few of the absolutely bat-shit crazy things he came out with while speaking to the magazine.
We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States 🇺🇸! #2020VISION

He also mentioned how he envisions a White House organisational model based on the fictional country of Wakanda in Black Panther.
"I’m gonna use the framework of Wakanda right now because it’s the best explanation of what our design group is going to feel like in the White House," he said.
"That is a positive idea: you got Kanye West, one of the most powerful humans — I’m not saying the most because you got a lot of alien level superpowers and it’s only collectively that we can set it free."
Makes sense.
West seems to accept that he may not win this year, saying: “Let’s see if the appointing is at 2020 or if it’s 2024 — because God appoints the president. If I win in 2020 then it was God’s appointment. If I win in 2024 then that was God’s appointment.”
His other interesting thoughts on vaccines, his campaign slogan and being a political novice can be read on Forbes. The full article is definitely worth a read.
