Like a man who was last to the biscuit tin, John Oliver saw just one option for his review of the week in news.
For, the third consecutive week, the coronavirus - and mainly the response of the US government to the emergency - was the main focus of his 'Last Week Tonight' show.
Recorded in an echoey room, Oliver looked at the idiocy of people now infected after attending coronavirus parties, the inconsistencies of many US politicians, the likes of Glenn Beck declaring they'd rather die than have the economy negatively affected, and the equipment shortages being suffered by American hospitals.
He also called out the many mistruths proclaimed by Donald Trump during this extraordinary time, saying "It is so profoundly disheartening that we are being led through this crisis by a man who may be less equipped to deal with this historical moment than anybody in recorded history."
