Gardaí across Ireland have responded en masse to a viral dance challenge from the Swiss police force – and the end result is pretty amazing.
A few weeks ago, Swiss police recorded themselves taking on the Jerusalema Challenge. The dance challenge from an Angolan dance troop dancing to the South African house song Jerusalema has gone viral over the past year.
As part of their video, the Swiss police tasked the Gardaí with taking on the challenge themselves and they have risen to the challenge.
We have stepped up to the Swiss police @fedpolCH #JerusalemaChallenge. Gardaí across Ireland answered the call to give the public we serve a lift in these challenging times. #StayTogether #homeStaySafe pic.twitter.com/sbLdkk54hB — Garda Info (@gardainfo) February 2, 2021
Recorded across Ireland, the video takes in some truly spectacular locations, as well as some amazing Irish dancing from Cork Garda Mary Gardiner. The feel-good video has gone viral on Irish social media circles this morning and the reaction has been very positive.
The horses though! And the Irish dancer. Love it. #Jerusalemachallenge https://t.co/p10mVR3Tlv

The video undoubtedly has two main stars, with nearly every Tweet about the video acknowledging the star power of the horses who cameo at the video’s midpoint.
They may want to look into getting agents, as they’re going to be in high demand after this starring role!
